Plant Care Guide

Anthurium

Botanical Name: Anthurium Andraeanum,  an· thaw· ree· uhm

Common Names: Flamingo Lily, Flamingo Flower, Painter's Palette

The Anthurium has lush and glossy leaves and stunning inflorescences which continue throughout the year, making this an easy plant to enjoy.

Light Requirements

Indoors or out, anthuriums grow best in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can burn the leaves.

Water Requirements

Enjoys a deep watering once the soil has mostly (or completely) dried out. Tip: It is always better to underwater than to overwater.

Troubleshooting and Tips

If your anthurium has slowed or stopped producing its waxy flowers, try moving the plant into a sunnier spot or increasing the humidity around it.

If the leaves begin to go limp or curl in then it is time to water your plant.

Brown leaves are caused by too much sunlight, nutrient deficiency, or improper watering.

Pet Friendly

No.
